Overview
The AME provides communications system operators with seamless continuity from design, development, integration, testing, through mission operations. Communications system managers can inherit capabilities developed during other project phases or even by other projects. Inheritance of previously-developed capabilities can significantly reduce a project's risk, schedule, and cost.

The AME can be configured to support a wide variety of applications. Current applications for the AME include Integration, Test, and Operations for:

MissionSpace is also exploring future applications for the AME incuding: unmanned systems, distributed sensor networks, and robotic controls.
Spacecraft/Payloads
The AME is an ideal platfrom with which to integrate and test spacecraft systems and subsystems. The AME's modular architecture enables automated regression testing. Automated testing greatly reduces the costs normally associated with complex system integration and test.
Ground Systems
The AME was first developed to support the integration and operation of ground systems. The AME, acting like a "system-of-systems", centralizes control and status information to/from your local/remote ground segment elements. In addition, the AME readily supports both new and legacy ground system components, protocols, and/or applications.

Instrument/Payload Integration and Test
The AME simplifies the integration and test of complex systems. Instruments and their associate GSE (Ground Support Equipment) can all be integrated into the AME to provide a common, interoperable platform for system-level integration and test.
Real-Time, Distributed Mission Operations
The AME enables the real-time management of multiple distributed mission operations and data processing sites. Data and status are passed from the spacecraft, to mission operations centers, and to the end-user in real-time.

Command, Control, and Tracking
The AME enables the real-time management of multiple distributed mission operations and data processing sites. Command, control, and tracking can be remotely managed with data and status dynamically passed from each ground site and on to mission operations and data processing centers.
Telemetry Processing, Display, Archiving and Playback
MissionSpace's AME system performs data acquisition, monitoring and archiving and is ideally suited for processing and distributing both high- and low- speed telemetry and/or science data in real-time. Various Service Modules can be "plugged" into the AME Base system to perform many different types of data processing.

In addition, the AME provides end-to-end data accountability for ground systems. The AME alerts operators to data anomalies and automatically requests retransmission of lost data. With the AME, our clients get the best possible products from their communications systems.

The AME forms a comprehensive, time-correlated telemetry stream for all mission-related data. Archive, retrieval, and analysis of telemetry is simplified and will also include equipment status.

Finally, the AME provides operators with the ability to customize their telemetry displays without the the need for software engineering skills.
